Opening Ceremony of Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair 2023

Opening Ceremony of 2023 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair was held on December 8 at Inya Lake Hotel, Yangon Convention Center (YCC).

In this ceremony, H.E Minister, Yangon Region Government U Soe Thein delivered opening speech and Commercial Counselor of Chinese Embassy Mr.Ouyang DaoBing gave welcome remarks. Then, Deputy Minister – Ministry of Commerce U Minn Minn gave speech and Chairman of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles Mr.Cao Jia Chang presenting the background of expo.

Afterward, Deputy Division Chief of Foreign trade development department of commerce of Zhejiang province gave appreciation notes.

The delegation from Yangon Region Government, Ministry of Commerce, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, China Embassy, Foreign Trade Development Department of Commerce of Zhejiang province, UMFCCI, CECCM, MGMA, CTGA, JGMA, KOGAM opened the Expo by ribbon cutting successfully.

After that, the delegation from Yangon Region Government, Ministry of Commerce, OSS, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, China Embassy, Foreign Trade Development Department of Commerce of Zhejiang province, UMFCCI, CECCM, MGMA, CTGA, JGMA, KOGAM took group photo and tour around the expo.

The purpose of this event is to make long-term potential business cooperation, strengthen economic ties between Myanmar and China for sustainable of Myanmar garment sector development.

Over 100 exhibitors displayed textile and apparel, shoes and bags from China and Myanmar and (1269) visitors visited the fair.
